Compensation Strategy Manager

About the Role

This key position oversees compensation strategy, benefits administration and payroll interface processes for our organization and its serviced entities.

The role is responsible for salary benchmarking, total compensation analysis, benefits enrollment and renewal oversight, ensuring compliance with wage laws and benefits-related regulations.

This position also oversees payroll operations, working closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy.

Scheduled duties include:

  • Developing, implementing and managing compensation strategies, salary scales and incentive structures
  • Overseeing benefits enrollment, renewals and eligibility tracking (health, dental, vision, disability, retirement, etc.)
  • Monitoring compliance with FLSA, ACA, ERISA and wage transparency laws
  • Conducting market analysis and salary benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures
  • Maintaining updated position salary bands and coordinating compensation adjustments for new hires, promotions or policy changes

The position involves overseeing employee communications related to benefit programs, coordinating with HRIS and payroll teams, and resolving escalated employee concerns.

Key skills required include:

  • Advanced understanding of compensation and benefits principles, practices and regulations
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to manage complex processes and communicate effectively with diverse staff
  • Proficiency with HRIS, payroll and benefits administration systems

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, and 3-5 years experience in compensation, benefits administration or payroll operations.
