Technical Solution Design Expert

The Technical Solution Design Expert plays a pivotal role in leading assigned projects from conception to delivery. This key position translates high-level architectural designs into detailed technical solutions, ensuring end-to-end system integration and delivery that meets business and operational requirements.

This critical role requires the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including System Analysts, Project Managers, and Business Analysts, to refine and validate business and technical requirements. The Technical Solution Design Expert must have a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/DevOps methodologies, as well as experience with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, Java, SQL, and cloud fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of the Solution Plan (SP) based on the High-Level Solution (HLS) provided by the Solution Architect.
  • Collaborate with the System Analyst to break down the HLS into actionable technical packages across applications and components.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager (PM) and Business Analyst (BA) to refine and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Review and validate the Detailed Functional Specification (DFS) with the System Analyst to ensure alignment with the planned solution.
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Network Engineers, and Security teams to ensure holistic and secure end-to-end system design.
  • Oversee the setup of testing and production environments in collaboration with System Administrators and Database Administrators through the System Analyst.
  • Support the Systems Analyst during the production handover process.
  • Lead technical readiness activities, ensuring support teams are prepared to manage the system post-deployment.
  • Oversee cutover planning and execution for deploying system enhancements into production.
  • Provide technical leadership during the stabilization period after deployment, managing escalations and production issues.
  • Partner with the PM and Service Management team to monitor system performance and assist with project closeout and knowledge transfer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in telecommunications, IT, or Cloud services.
  • Prior experience as a technical lead in solution design or systems integration projects is highly preferred.
  • Experience in designing or supporting systems or core processes and functional areas relevant to the vertical or industry to which the role is assigned.
  • Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable and have basic knowledge in the following:
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, shell scripting, Java, SQL, and cloud fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with SOAP/REST APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Solid understanding of project delivery frameworks and governance.
