Senior Risk Analyst Job Description

This Senior Risk Analyst position is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for managing operational risks and ensuring the overall risk management framework remains effective.

  • Develop, enhance, and periodically review risk management policies, procedures, and operational risk frameworks to mitigate potential risks.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across key business areas, including business continuity, financial exposures, and third-party/vendor relationships to identify and evaluate operational risks.
  • Ensure timely reporting of risk incidents, utilizing existing risk management tools and systems to capture, monitor, and analyze operational risk data.
  • Design and implement practical risk mitigation strategies and control enhancements to address identified risks, promoting a strong risk-aware culture through effective risk communication, awareness campaigns, and training programs.
  • Investigate incidents, lead or support root cause analysis to identify key risk factors and recommend control improvements, preparing and presenting risk dashboards, reports, and other risk-related deliverables to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise-wide risk initiatives and continuous improvement of the risk management function.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ORM, CRMA, CISA, CBCP) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in risk management with a strong background in operational risk areas.
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations and risk management standards (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in risk tools, reporting, and data visualization (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or other risk systems).
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and effectively manage competing priorities.
