Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Financial Analyst to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate and finance, with expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weekly Funding Report: Generate detailed funding reports to inform business decisions.
  • Monthly Reports: Produce monthly liquidity statements, monitor liquidity compliance, and create multifamily replacement reserves analysis.
  • Quarterly/Year-end Loan Compliance Reporting: Develop comprehensive reports for major lending or banking partners.
  • Quarterly Ground Lease Reporting: Monitor ground lessee compliance and perform financial reporting variance analysis.
  • Yardi Reports: Prepare and generate reports on rent roll, income statement, budget, tenancy schedule, and other key metrics.
  • Loan Financing/Refinancing: Assist with underwriting loan requests, property executive summaries, due diligence requirements, and closing documents.
  • Yearly Budget: Collaborate with Asset Managers and Property Managers on Yardi training, budget review, and preparation for multifamily, general ledger, and office suites.
  • 1031 Exchange: Identify replacement and relinquished properties, calculate estimated deferred tax gain/loss, and determine property tax basis.
  • Acquisitions/Dispositions: Conduct due diligence, review closing statements, and set up exchanges with First American Exchange Company.
  • Summary Of Acquisitions, Dispositions, Financing And 1031 Exchanges: Maintain a summary of acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and 1031 exchanges.
  • Property Tax Basis: Update and maintain property tax basis quarterly.
  • LoanBoss: Ensure accuracy of loan information in LoanBoss.
  • Special Reports: Generate reports on draw requests from Line of Credit facilities, company presentation materials, transaction gain/loss calculations, and other management requests.
Requirements
  • Latin honors degree (cum laude or better) from a reputable university.
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, and/or accounting preferred.
  • MBA degree desired.
  • 2-5 years of experience in real estate asset management and/or acquisitions.
  • Experience with top consulting firms or financial institutions.
  • Proficiency in underwriting and analyzing real estate opportunities.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills required.
  • Strong quantitative skills and analytical ability.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal oversight in a team environment.
  • Capacity to produce high-quality work products under tight deadlines.
