Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to lead the design and deployment of next-generation BNG, edge, and access platforms. This is a unique opportunity to upgrade our province-wide ISP infrastructure to scale, increase resiliency, and enhance observability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering and deploying BGP edge routers with RPKI/ROV, uRPF, Flowspec, and RTBH. They will also stand up IPoE BNG systems, enforce per-sub QoS, implement DHCPv6-PD, and configure IPv6-first routing.

Additionally, the candidate will integrate OLTs via ACS (GenieACS) and TR-069, using ZTP. They will implement an observability stack: Prometheus, Grafana, sFlow/NetFlow, Alertmanager. The candidate will also design, test, and validate edge ACLs, scrubbing integration, and anomaly detection alerts.

Mentor junior engineers; create runbooks and rollback MOPs for remote hands responsibilities are also part of this job.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in ISP-grade routing/switching, preferably with FRR, VyOS, or OcNOS
  • Deep understanding of BGP/OSPF, PPPoE/IPoE, uRPF, QoS, NAT, and AAA
  • Working knowledge of Proxmox, Linux, containerized monitoring (Docker/Prometheus stack)
  • Familiarity with optical fiber networks, OLT/ONU provisioning, VLAN planning
  • Resilience to work in a rural setting
