Australian Accounting Specialist

The Australian Accounting Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for Australian businesses. This role requires expertise in various accounting software and a deep understanding of Australian tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS).
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger entries.
- Process payroll, including superannuation and PAYG withholding.
- Manage cash flow and budgeting processes.
- Produce regular financial reports for management.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as needed.
- Utilize accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks Online for accurate bookkeeping and compliance.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience in Australia.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Education: Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent qualifications.
- Tax Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian taxation, including GST, BAS preparation, superannuation, and PAYG.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with Australian clients.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide financial insights to improve business efficiency.
