As a professional in the field of accounting, this role entails managing financial records for multiple clients. The Bookkeeper and Tax Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial information, including accounts payable and receivable.

The specialist will record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

Preparation and submission of monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets, is also an essential aspect of this position.

In addition to bookkeeping duties, the tax preparation aspect of this role involves preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and small businesses.

The specialist will ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines, as well as advise clients on tax-saving strategies and financial planning to minimize tax liabilities.

Financial analysis is another key responsibility, involving the examination of clients' financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

Recommendations for budgeting, forecasting, and financial management are provided to clients based on the analysis.

The Bookkeeper and Tax Specialist will communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial situation and tax obligations.

Client inquiries and solutions related to tax and bookkeeping issues are addressed promptly and professionally.

This position requires strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain and organize financial documents and make them readily available for audits or reviews.

Collaboration with other team members to support overall financial operations is also an essential aspect of this role.

Key requirements for this position include bookkeeping experience with a focus on tax preparation and compliance, proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero, and knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients in a friendly and professional manner.

CPA or equivalent certification is preferred but not required.
