Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to oversee financial operations related to credit card transactions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in processing payments, tracking expenses, and reconciling statements to ensure accurate financial records.

  • Credit Card Management:
    • Monitor and record credit card transactions, ensuring proper categorization
    • Reconcile credit card statements with accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies
    • Manage credit card payment schedules to avoid late fees and maintain company credit health
  • Bookkeeping Duties:
    • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
    • Record daily transactions in accounting software like QuickBooks or Xero
    • Assist in preparing financial statements, such as profit and loss reports and balance sheets
  • Expense Tracking:
    • Track and validate employee credit card usage, ensuring adherence to company policies
    • Organize and maintain receipts and documentation for all credit card expenses
    • Analyze spending patterns to provide insights for cost-saving opportunities
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Generate reports detailing credit card expenses and transactions for management review
    • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company financial policies
  • Other Duties:
    • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
    • Support audits by providing detailed credit card transaction records and reconciliations

Requirements:

  • Experience in bookkeeping, preferably with credit card transaction management
  • Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Xero
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and reconciliation abilities
