Job Title: Utility Infrastructure Inspector

The utility infrastructure inspector will be responsible for inspecting and analyzing overhead electrical infrastructure to ensure accuracy and reliability of utility asset datasets.

This role involves cataloging utility assets, identifying potential faults and hazards, and contributing to overall improvement of utility services and reliability.

The responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and cataloging overhead utility assets to ensure consistent data collection
  • Learning to identify and document electrical utility equipment, faults, and potential hazards
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining utility asset datasets to support operational improvements
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with industry standards
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to support safe and efficient project execution
  • Staying updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Participating in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development

The qualifications required include:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a lineman in the electric utility field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities
  • Nice-to-have: Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector
