Technical Support Role

This role is for an individual who will be the primary interface for customers' hardware and software technical assistance.

They are responsible for synthesizing internal and external feedback and turning it into actionable items, working with corrective actions, supporting teams and projects that deliver solutions and address issues for the customers.

  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand and resolve their technical problems.
  • Provide Tier 1 technical assistance to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues.
  • Manage multiple cases efficiently following service-level agreements (SLAs) and maintain detailed procedural documentation.
  • Resolve customer and field-reported faults, queries, and complaints as the first point of contact.
Requirements

Fluent English and Japanese language skills.

Professional phone, verbal, and written communication skills.

Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word).

Basic knowledge of web technology, email, and the internet.

Keen on details.

Flexibility with supporting 'on-call' after-hours support and shifting schedules based on customer demand and/or group manpower shortages.

Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Engineering field.

Minimum of 1 year of technical experience. Related experience in a customer support role is a plus.
