Program Director Job Summary

The Program Director serves as the chief academic administrator and leader of a department. They are responsible for overseeing the implementation of educational policies to achieve the goals of the college.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct department activities and operations under the supervision of the Senior Director.

  • Execute academic policies to achieve educational goals.


Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to Computer Science is required.

  • An aligned master's degree and PhD are highly desirable.

  • Licensure in the field of expertise may be required.


Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field is necessary.

  • Industry experience is an advantage, particularly for Program Departments.


Desirable Traits:

  • Strong leadership skills are essential.

  • Good people relations skills are crucial.

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are required.

  • The ability to work proactively, meticulously, and as part of a team is vital.

  • Proficiency in English communication is necessary.

  • Representing the college locally, nationally, and internationally is a key responsibility.


Skills:

  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications are essential.

  • Proficiency in internet-based applications is also required.
