Strategic Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced leader to fill the role of Executive Dean, Faculty of Law. As a key member of our institution's leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the faculty, ensuring academic excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.


Job Description:
  • To develop and implement the faculty's strategic plan, aligning it with the institution's overall vision and goals.
  • To provide strategic leadership in teaching, learning, and research, ensuring that the faculty remains at the forefront of its field.
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic colleagues, industry partners, and government agencies.
  • To oversee the management of staff and resources, ensuring efficient use of budget and human capital.

Requirements:
  • A doctoral degree in Law (NQF level 10) or a related field.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years' senior management experience in higher education.
  • Strong track record of academic leadership, with a proven ability to drive change and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex institutional and academic landscapes.
