Job Title: Senior Lecturer/Lecturer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer/Lecturer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and learning, research and innovation, community engagement, and leadership.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a significant contribution to our institution's mission of providing high-quality education and research. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and learning, research and innovation, community engagement, and leadership in the School of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning: Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs, assess student learning, and evaluate curriculum effectiveness.
  • Research and Innovation: Conduct research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and supervise master's and PhD students.
  • Community Engagement: Lead community engagement activities, develop projects to benefit the community, and work with related schools to promote inclusion and capability.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership in teaching and learning, support personnel in undergraduate teaching and learning, and empower nursing/health clinical programs.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a PhD (NQF level 10) in Nursing Science (Medical and Surgical), a qualification in Nursing Education, and registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a nurse educator and midwife.

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
