Lead Credit Risk Manager

As a seasoned professional in credit risk management, you will play a key role in shaping our company's approach to real estate transactions. Our vertically integrated business model allows us to move quickly and creatively, structuring acquisitions to satisfy seller needs in a highly competitive market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement credit risk policies and procedures tailored to real estate transactions, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
  • Assess borrower creditworthiness, including individuals, developers, and institutional clients, and approve or escalate credit decisions based on risk thresholds and financial analysis.
  • Monitor the performance of our credit portfolio, identify emerging risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure proper risk grading and timely reporting of potential problem loans.
  • Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts and underwriters, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • Partner with legal, finance, and property management teams to ensure smooth deal execution and risk alignment, supporting due diligence efforts for acquisitions and new developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Graduated cum laude or better from university is preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in real estate or top financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. lending regulations and real estate market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in credit scoring models, financial analysis, and risk assessment tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
