Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team. This challenging role requires strong accounting skills and in-depth knowledge of tax laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in achieving their goals by actively engaging with them to understand their needs.
  • Extract reports and data from client accounting systems, including XERO, MYOB, Reckon, Banklink, Cashflow Manager, and Phoenix, and provide training on their use.
  • Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and Business Activity Statements for sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies based on source data provided by the client.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax law changes and interpret and explain the implications to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of client history, trust details, and complete Financial Statements and Tax Returns across all entity types within five review points.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting or a similar relevant qualification.
  • At least two years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software, with experience using Xero, MYOB, and/or QuickBooks being an advantage.
  • Demonstration of energy, drive, a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and willingness to learn and develop within the profession.
