Job Title:

Project Governance Specialist


About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled project governance specialist to join our team. As a Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery by defining and managing project plans, overseeing all stages of the project lifecycle, and managing resources effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning:

Define project scope, create realistic schedules, and establish budgets.

Project Lifecycle Management:

Oversee all stages of the project, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.

Resource Management:

Allocate resources effectively, manage team performance, and address any resource-related issues.

Documentation Management:

Create and maintain project plans, status reports, risk logs, and other essential documentation.

Closure Management:

Ensure all deliverables are achieved, documented, and that lessons learned are captured.

Vendor Relationship Management:

Select and manage vendors and suppliers to support project delivery.


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Prioritization:

Contribute to the business planning/demand planning cycle by assisting in prioritizing IT projects.

Compliance:

Ensure projects adhere to all relevant IT standards, policies, and procedures.

Stakeholder Management:

Provide regular project status updates to relevant stakeholders and manage their expectations.

Team Collaboration:

Work with other project managers, delivery managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment across projects.

Issue Escalation:

Identify and escalate project issues and risks to the appropriate levels for resolution.

Mentorship:

Provide guidance and support to project team members.


Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Project Governance Specialist

  • Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies and best practices.

  • Experience with project management tools and techniques.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in the financial industry, particularly with banking regulations, is a plus.
