Project Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Director to lead the delivery of strategic change initiatives and transformational change for our business.

The Global Financial Crime & Fraud Prevention organization combines related capabilities into a global functionally steered organization. Our purpose is to protect our customers, the bank and society against Financial Crime & Fraud, through a network of skilled and passionate professionals, and a set of advanced solutions and operations.

Our Global FCFP is part of ING COO and is a first line of defense organization and supports the standardization of related processes, enhanced controls, shared tooling, and the optimization of operations across all business lines, helping us to achieve a more robust Financial Crime Prevention & Fraud environment that will strongly contribute to ING's overall response towards more stringent regulatory requirements in this area and beyond.

The scope of the role is global and involves many stakeholders from the different countries, jurisdictions, and related business and support functions

To be successful, you must have:

  • Experience in leading bank portfolio projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
  • Ability to develop and implement project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams, including compliance, risk management, IT, and business units, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven communication, convincing and advisory skills with the ability to work at all levels and with different cultures in the organization.
  • Proactive, can-do mentality and able to challenge status quo.
