The role of a Paralegal involves supporting attorneys by collecting, organizing evidence and legal documents, assisting with filings and trial preparations, and managing communications among parties. Key Responsibilities- Communication and Coordination: Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts for information gathering and updates.

- Draft Discovery Documents: Draft and review discovery documents in family law cases.
- Evidence Management: Organize evidence and legal documents for review.
- Document Preparation and Filing: Prepare, file, and serve legal documents such as contracts and pleadings.
- Schedule Coordination: Coordinate schedules and share information among involved parties.
- Document Management: Maintain organized systems for document management.
- Discovery Assistance: Assist with discovery by reviewing and producing documents.
- Trial Preparation: Help prepare for trials by assembling exhibits and legal filings.
- Virtual Proceedings: Attend virtual legal proceedings to support attorneys, if needed.
- Deposition Summaries: Summarize depositions, transcripts, and exhibits.
- Case Presentation: Create charts, graphs, and summaries for case presentation.
- Filing and Serving: File legal documents with courts and serve opposing counsel.
- Legal Software Proficiency: Use legal software for document preparation and case tracking.
- Billing and Invoicing: Record billable hours for invoicing.
- A Paralegal Certification or a degree in legal studies is required.
- Experience as a paralegal is essential.
- A Windows OS device is necessary for the job.
- Experience with real estate document preparation is highly valued.
- Familiarity with discovery in family law cases is an asset.
- The ability to communicate directly with clients and witnesses is crucial.
- Skilled in organizing legal documents and evidence, the ideal candidate will be able to manage complex paperwork.
- Proficient in legal document filing and serving, the successful candidate will be able to meet deadlines and follow procedures.
