
Children's Book Development Coordinator

As a Publishing Assistant, you will serve as the founder's key collaborator, helping bring creative ideas to life and ensure the smooth development and promotion of our titles.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Assist in managing the development of children's books from concept to publication; coordinate with illustrators, ghostwriters, and other freelancers; monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Content Support: Review and provide feedback on drafts; organize and maintain book-related files and documentation.
- Marketing & Advertising Assistance: Support promotional efforts including basic advertising, content preparation for listings, and outreach; help strategize and execute marketing campaigns across online platforms.
- Publishing Support: Research best practices for self-publishing platforms (e.g., Amazon KDP); assist in formatting and preparing manuscripts for publication; keep track of royalties, sales, and promotional results as needed.
- At least 1 year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is a plus).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with creatives such as illustrators and writers.
- Self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable working independently in a startup environment.
- Familiarity with children's book content and trends is a plus.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark.
- Experience with graphic design tools or basic book formatting.
- Background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products.
