Literary Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Publishing Assistant to join our team. As a key collaborator, you will help bring creative ideas to life and ensure the smooth development and promotion of our titles.

• Project Coordination:
  • Assist in managing the development of children's books from concept to publication, coordinating with freelancers including illustrators and ghostwriters, and monitoring project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
• Content Support:
  • Review and provide feedback on drafts, organize and maintain book-related files and documentation.
• Marketing & Advertising Assistance:
  • Support promotional efforts, including advertising and content preparation for listings, and help strategize and execute marketing campaigns across online platforms.
• Publishing Support:
  • Research best practices for self-publishing platforms, assist in formatting and preparing manuscripts for publication, and track royalties, sales, and promotional results as needed.

• A minimum of 1 year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is a plus)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience collaborating with creatives, such as illustrators and writers
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable working independently in a startup environment

• Knowledge of publishing platforms like Amazon KDP or IngramSpark
• Experience with graphic design tools or basic book formatting
• A background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products
