Job Title:

Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, updating, and improving divisional and corporate budgets, as well as quarterly rolling forecasts.

The FP&A specialist will work closely with the finance team to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance. This includes creating regular and ad-hoc reports, analyzing financial statements, and developing strategic plans to drive business growth.

Additionally, the FP&A specialist will support the development of financial models and analysis to inform business decisions, as well as collaborate with the in-house data team to integrate operational and financial data to enhance forecasting accuracy and unit economics.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to make a meaningful contribution to our organization's financial planning and analysis function.

Requirements:
  • A post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial reporting, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience with financial statement production and/or analysis.
  • Knowledge of accounting data hierarchies and structure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working towards or having completed a financial designation (CPA, CFA, etc.).
  • Experience working with budgeting & reporting software.
  • Knowledge of the inner workings of the payments ecosystem.
