Our industry group supports clients in addressing challenges facing today's banking landscape. Our global network collaborates with clients to refine their business models through innovative practices, improved processes, and enabling technologies.

You will work closely with clients to help them make informed decisions and implement solutions based on key business issues and problem statements from architecting strategic transformation agendas to driving business value through execution and implementation.

You will engage across all key segments within banking (retail, SME, wholesale, and wealth) and drive the latest best-in-class transformation narrative for our banking sector clients across SEA. Typical engagements may include:

• Front office/sales and service transformation
• Omnichannel customer journey and experience design
• Digital enablement and platform implementation

You will support our business growth by:

• Leading the end-to-end delivery of lending projects, including process design and implementation of loan origination and servicing systems. You will manage both business and technical workstreams, providing direction to the technical lead, and serve as the primary point of accountability for project outcomes. This role requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive business transformation and operational excellence for clients in the financial services sector.
• Leading lending project delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Overseeing process design, requirements gathering, solution design, and integration of business and technical activities.
• Directly managing the technical lead and coordinating cross-functional project teams.
• Serving as the main point of contact for client stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Identifying opportunities for business process improvement and innovation within client organizations.
• Managing vendor relationships and coordinating resources to meet project timelines and deliverables.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

If you are someone with:

• Tertiary qualification in a business, actuarial, finance, or technology discipline
• Currently enrolled in an MBA program or have obtained the qualification from a well-ranked institution
• Minimum 6-8 years of working experience in the Consulting Industry and/or Financial Services Industry – Banking Institutions
• Knowledge of Southeast Asia market, core trends, and drivers, with proficiency in articulating regulatory, economic, technological, and business impacts on key institutions
• Experience leading lending projects in banking or financial services
• Strong project management skills, including oversight of technical teams and deliverables
• Expertise in business process design, requirements gathering, and documentation for financial services operations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement, executive reporting, and vendor management
• Ability to manage risks, timelines, and resources effectively in a client-focused environment
• Proven experience leading complex lending projects, including loan origination and servicing systems
• Experience with commercial lending processes, through project work or relevant business roles (e.g., Relationship Manager, product owner, or similar)
• Familiarity with general ledger principles as they relate to lending transactions and reconciliation
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to lending, including consumer and commercial lending regulations
• Experience with digital transformation and automation in lending processes
• Exposure to major lending platforms such as FIS or Finastra
• Change management and end-user training experience
• Understanding of payment processing, AI, and risk management as they specifically relate to lending operations
• Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2
