At DWS, we are undergoing a significant transformation to implement state-of-the-art infrastructure aligned to the needs of an asset manager.

Job Description

The CFO Division is responsible for ensuring sound risk management and financial governance of the organization. The COO team drives strategy and execution, governance, resource allocation, change management, and control oversight for the CFO Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define business requirements for one or more functional areas associated with adopting a new operating model aligned with SAP 4 Hana adoption.
  • Work closely with stakeholders through structured processes to understand their needs, analyse problems, and capture their requirements.
  • Partner with IT colleagues to refine requirements into specifications, create user stories, and design solutions that can be executed.
  • Provide input to end-users' test approach, cutover, and business readiness.
  • Facilitate communication across Technology, End Users, and Design Lead to create consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions.
  • Help create process flows and control documents.
  • Establish relationships and work collaboratively across other functions to ensure requirements and design are aligned front to back with dependencies clarified.
  • Support project managers as required regarding status reporting inputs, issues/risk management, and all aspects of projects including planning and tracking activities and dependencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in designing and documenting requirements for transformation programmes in Finance - SAP S4 Hana preferred with experience in Group Reporting Module.
  • Business/data analysis experience within financial services showing strong analytical skills and clear problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in designing business processes including documentation of structured process maps and related documentation such as control definition.
  • Experience in multi-GAAP financial reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience explaining complex processes clearly and concisely to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Structured, organized, and results-oriented approach demonstrating high diligence and attention to detail.
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting and other finance processes.
  • Accounting qualification.
  • Knowledge of asset management industry preferred.
  • Amenable to hybrid work models and mid-shift schedules.
