Facilities Support Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking a facilities support specialist to provide operational support in our high-volume clinical laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure proper storage and handling of samples and reagents.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards through accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Verify that electrical, HVAC, and building systems meet safety and performance requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment as needed.
  • Evaluate contractor access to perform work and repairs.
  • Assist with physical tasks such as cleaning, removing ice buildup, and assembling equipment.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent education level.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments handling time-sensitive materials.
  • Capacity to lift 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and operations.
  • Experience using hand tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work safely with cleaning supplies and chemicals using personal protective equipment (PPE).
