Senior New Product Introduction Technician

Job Description

The Senior NPI Technician plays a crucial support role within the Probe and Test engineering function, specifically focusing on products that have transitioned from the development phase to in-house production.

This position is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient manufacturing of new products, particularly in Low Volume Manufacturing (LVM) environments. The primary objective of a Senior NPI Technician is to provide hands-on technical support to Probe and Test NPI Engineering for specific products or groups of products once they have been transferred from the development stage into in-house production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Support in LVM: Conduct verification tests, execute experiments, perform reworks, and carry out quality testing related to both the product and the test processes.
  • Non-Conforming Lot Disposition and Failure Analysis: Assist in the disposition of lots that do not meet quality standards and support failure analysis activities to identify root causes of issues.
  • Data Collection and Evaluation: Utilize various data tools to collect and evaluate test data, which is crucial for understanding process performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement Assistance: Help in the development of methods and procedures designed to control or modify the manufacturing process, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Sustaining Activities and Other Tasks: Perform product and machine sustaining activities, ensuring that equipment and processes are running optimally. Additionally, perform other related tasks assigned by their immediate superior, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support various operational needs.
Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an Engineering or Technology Course.
