Job Purpose

This role is designed to position Finastra\'s Financial Messaging Services for market growth in the changing Payments landscape. The Product Manager will define the business strategy and vision for the product segment aligned to the North Star Vision and drive commercial performance by delivering new capabilities into the Financial Services Sector. The Product Manager will champion the product lifecycle and become the Subject Matter Expert in delivering current and future customer needs, creating and delivering compelling commercial offerings with clear definition and messaging to drive sales and financial results, aligned to agreed key plays. The individual should demonstrate industry knowledge and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively across teams to meet objectives.

The Product Team, Sales, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Service Bureau and Support.

Responsibilities & Deliverables

Your responsibilities and deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Commercial Growth - Drive business growth through solution innovation and compelling commercial propositions. Work with sales, marketing and other market-facing teams to identify and deliver growth opportunities for current and new customers.
  • P&L - Ensure delivery of new propositions can be measured against defined KPIs within the business case or governance agreements.
  • Strategy & Planning - Define and test business cases, targets and expected results; develop a clear strategy, roadmap, definitions, positioning and launch materials for new products & services.
  • Proposition Launch - Develop robust investment cases and manage approvals. Oversee product launches including pricing, contracts, finance, messaging, customer testing, training and marketing support as necessary.
  • Product Positioning and Messaging - Provide positioning that differentiates the proposition in line with the North Star Vision and Strategy.
  • Marketing - Define propositions with target audience, features and benefits; ensure go-to-market plans, collateral and campaigns are in place.
  • Sales Enablement - Create tools and resources to aid the sales team, including product messaging and training content.
  • Team Leadership - Lead and develop the Product Team, building cross-functional teams to deliver against the product strategy/roadmap and drive revenue growth.
Required & Desired Experience

The successful candidate will bring experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the following areas:

  • 5+ years of software/SaaS product management or product marketing experience
  • Experience with hosted/multi-tenant SaaS or Cloud software with published APIs
  • Experience with enterprise-grade software in a payments/financial messaging ecosystem
  • Knowledge of technology and payments industry; fluent in English with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and in detail; capable of executing at pace
  • Strong analytical skills, financial literacy and sound judgment
  • Experience constructing and managing budgets
  • Expertise in Agile product development methodologies
  • Effective communicator and influencer; self-starter and delivery-focused
  • Ability to build and manage cross-functional and senior management relationships
  • Awareness of legal, regulatory and risk management considerations
  • Exceptional integrity and interpersonal skills; team player
  • Comfortable making decisions in complex, ambiguous environments; able to work independently and seek guidance when needed
