Job Title: Accounting Professional

Job Description:

The Village Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing the financial operations and accounting functions for multiple villages within the development as a shared service. This role encompasses preparing comprehensive financial reports, monitoring budgets, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

This accountant works closely with village administrators to support accurate financial management and maintain transparency across all villages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Budget Preparation and Monitoring: Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare and monitor village budgets, identifying areas for cost optimization.
  • Billing and Collections: Oversee billing and collections processes, ensuring timely payment of invoices and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Audit Coordination and External Auditor Engagement: Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and address any findings.
  • Regulatory and Reportorial Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure village financial data is accurately reported.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  2. Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is highly desirable.
  3. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in property or village management.
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple villages and handle diverse financial activities simultaneously.
