Key Job Overview

The role of a Credentialing Coordinator involves empowering healthcare providers to excel in their practices.


Main Responsibilities
  • Manage applications and conduct primary source verification to maintain the credentialing database with attention to detail.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations by serving as a key point of contact for providers and external entities.
  • Assist with provider privileging and facilitate credentialing components of new provider onboarding.
  • Generate credentialing reports, identify and resolve credentialing issues, and contribute to process improvements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Administrative Experience: 1-3 years of relevant administrative support experience, preferably in healthcare or regulated environments.
  • Collaborative & Independent Contribution: Proven ability to work within a team environment and manage tasks independently.
  • Administrative Acumen: A keen eye for detail, methodical approach, and eagerness to learn healthcare credentialing standards and compliance.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail and systematic approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Process Improvement Mindset: Proactive approach to improving administrative workflows and data management practices.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational & Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Google Suite, Slack, CRM/support software, and comfortable learning EHR/credentialing management tools.
