About the Role

The primary function of Onboarding Specialists is to support the daily activities of Markets Client Data Teams.

Markets Client Data is a global hub team supporting Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, New York. The hub team functions in close partnership with Pre-Trade Services, Sales, Relationship, Credit, Legal, Compliance and Operations to ensure efficient and timely Market/regulatory setups and lifecycle updates. The team will focus on New to Markets Setups and any amendments during Lifecycle. In addition to ensuring data and systems are setup correctly, the team also runs controls to ensure compliance with Markets regulation and internal policies and correct and relevant information linked across relevant systems.

As part of daily activities, teams work with Front Office, RMs, Compliance, and other enablement function teams and therefore excellent inter-personal skills are required.

  • Workflow Management: Tight monitoring of all the workflows across all the regions to be performed daily and check if all requests are completed on a timely and accurate manner.
  • Email request monitoring and assignment: Regular reviewing of the Email box and ensure the requests are completed as per SLA/prioritization of urgent requests and zero outstanding at EOD. Also need to ensure proper handover to the next shift with business justification for non-urgent requests.
  • Bulk Request management: Ensure ETA is negotiated as per the standard SLA for all bulk projects and the same is completed by the team without any SLA breach. Also need to push back or engage relevant teams to renegotiate ETA/reprioritize the request.
  • Responding to Escalation: Demonstrate quick and responsive approach for all the escalations and ensure to follow the hierarchy and keep Line manager and relevant management in loop in all the email communication.

What will your day look like?

As an Onboarding Specialist, you will:

Financial
  • Ensure tasks are carried out within policies and procedures avoiding costs due to delays, compensation claims, operational losses i.e. minimize operational loss.
Customer
  • Work efficiently with the customer to elicit change requirements that are fit for purpose, recommending appropriate stakeholders to be involved with elicitation activities.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate requirements clearly and concisely.
Process
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures and display an understanding of project and program practices and governance.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of project and governance processes.
People
  • Display a positive attitude, operates with a collaborative approach, and actively support the team in successful delivery of assigned task.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience within the financial services industry, regulatory compliance, Markets Product lifecycle. Quality assurance experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial services operations.
  • Strong understanding of Markets Products and their Lifecycles
  • Good understanding across regulatory requirements. Regulations like Dodd Frank, FATCA, CRS, EMIR, MiFID, and workflow tools.
  • Must be able to work and thrive in a fast paced, high intensity, high demand and deadline driven environment.
  • Team player & Self-motivated, committed to team & task, sharing knowledge, helping team members, Self-driven & highly motivated, organized working style.
  • Able to go the extra mile, Solution-oriented attitude, pragmatic, Good problem solving skills, committed to Quality framework, Following & Improving processes, Able to follow corporate reporting standards.

  • Excellent computer skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
