Medical Documentation Specialist Wanted

About the Job:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to work as a Medical Live Scribe, supporting our team during patient consultations. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting encounters in real-time, optimizing clinical workflow, and ensuring accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend patient consultations virtually or in-person to transcribe interactions with ophthalmologists and optometrists
  • Input notes into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems using Windows-based software while adhering to HIPAA guidelines
  • Organize and manage large volumes of medical files securely on a personal PC
  • Flag and clarify inconsistencies in visual exam documentation and diagnostic data
  • Maintain templates for eye exams, surgical consultations, and follow-ups
  • Streamline administrative duties and support providers
Technical Requirements:
  • A Windows-operated PC with sufficient storage capacity for handling large datasets and medical records
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, OneNote) for documentation and file management
  • Familiarity with EHR platforms (e.g., Compulink, RevolutionEHR)
  • Secure internet connectivity for remote sessions if required
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Familiarity with ophthalmologic terminology
  • Excellent typing speed and attention to clinical detail
  • Prior experience in a scribe or medical transcription role is highly valued
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
