This role plays a vital part in patient intake, administrative support, and healthcare coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Intake Management: We collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information to ensure seamless data entry and management of patient records.
  • Appointment Scheduling: We coordinate and schedule patient appointments with healthcare providers using efficient communication methods.
  • Medical Record Handling: Ensure accurate data entry and management of patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Insurance Verification: Assist in checking coverage and eligibility for medical procedures to facilitate smooth transitions between care providers.
  • Patient Communication: Handle inbound and outbound calls, responding to inquiries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring timely resolution of concerns.
  • Pre-Appointment Preparation: Gather necessary medical history and documentation before consultations, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Coordination with Healthcare Providers: Facilitate communication between patients, providers, and insurance representatives to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with medical billing, claims processing, and other administrative duties as needed to optimize office efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in medical administrative support or patient intake coordination to understand the nuances of the role.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to streamline data entry and management processes.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes to navigate complex care scenarios effectively.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and maintain productivity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and build trust.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism, upholding confidentiality and respect.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and healthcare scheduling software to leverage technology for improved efficiency.
  • Background in medical billing and insurance verification is beneficial, as is previous experience in a remote healthcare support role.
