Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and development.

  • Your primary responsibility will be to manage and develop a portfolio of sellers, ensuring time-sensitive support by providing hands-on guidance from initial onboarding through to deal closure.
  • You will provide strategic advice and guidance throughout the transaction process, ensuring a seamless client experience.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as primary Broker for a portfolio of sellers ($250 - $1M deal size), helping sellers navigate the complexities of the sales process.
  2. Provide valuation-driven analysis of client-provided P&Ls and high-level metrics to determine an appropriate valuation range.
  3. Support in the management and coordination of platform-generated legal documents, such as Letters of Intent (LOIs), Asset Purchase Agreements (APAs), and Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs).
  4. Allocate part of your time to buyer-side activities, understanding buyer needs and pairing them with relevant listings.
  5. Cultivate relationships with the buyside community and manage key strategic stakeholder relationships.
  6. Assist team members in presenting business proposals and negotiate optimal transaction terms.
  7. Maintain CRM hygiene using tools such as HubSpot to track leads, interactions, and opportunities effectively.
  8. Lead post-transaction feedback sessions to refine strategies and improve ROI.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven work experience in M&A, Brokering or a Sales role.
  • Proven experience undertaking business analysis and process improvement is highly regarded.
  • Direct knowledge of the small business sales environment will be advantageous.
  • Bachelor degree in business, commerce or marketing will be highly regarded.

Strong personal relationships, results oriented, independent, well organized, ability to work in a fast paced deadline oriented environment.
