Job Title

The Role of Financial Controller is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the client, including its subsidiaries.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, as well as experience in managing complex financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee financial operations, including accounts receivable, payable, reconciliation, manual journals, expense approvals, payment approvals, procurement, statutory reporting, management reporting, revenue recognition, budget setting, variances, forecasting, depreciation, amortization, payroll, commission management, project-based accounting, intellectual property valuation, vendor and talent payment management, intercompany transactions, consolidated reporting, group treasury management, transfer pricing, group tax strategy, compliance, audit coordination, mergers and acquisitions due diligence, stakeholder reporting, and modeling.
  • Manage a team of finance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of financial tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including the board of directors, shareholders, and external auditors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA or CA certification.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years of experience working within a multi-entity group structure.
  • Experience in media, entertainment, or event-based industries is highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in intercompany transactions, group consolidation, and Australian tax compliance.
