Network Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in a mid-senior level position. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex network issues, collaborating with vendors for third-party software support, and managing network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong value system, proven experience in systems administration, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a full-time position that offers a long-term work-from-home arrangement and a permanent night shift option.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, deploying, and managing all aspects of small to mid-sized business computer networks, software systems, and infrastructure.
  • Advanced and escalated troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows servers, workstation operating systems, and network issues.
  • Facilitating vendor support for third-party software to solve escalated issues.
  • Planning and deploying server, network, and workstation installations, upgrades, and network refreshes.

Required qualifications include:

  • Experience in an MSP environment.
  • 3-4 years of full workstation support with troubleshooting Windows OS (Windows 8.1 to 11), including peripherals such as printers and scanners.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in systems administration or a related field.
  • Network experience, including firewalls, smart switches, access points, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and routers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server 2008+ and server OS management, administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and supporting services.
  • Proficiency with Hyper-V and VMware hypervisors.
  • Knowledge of multiple network operating systems, protocols, security best practices, and implementation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership abilities.
