Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our global network infrastructure. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Engineering and Implementations, this position requires a strong technical background in networking technologies.

This senior-level position is responsible for providing operational support for all network hardware, software, and communication links. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting project managers in integrating network setups
  • Providing solutions to complex problems with well-planned documentation
  • Completing preventative maintenance activities such as code updates and equipment upgrades
  • Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
  • Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and support
  • Maintaining security and audit compliance
  • Performing operational-related Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACD)
  • Ensuring adherence to operational standards
  • Complying with engineering design standards and established operational processes
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of operational documentation

Key technical skills required include:

  • Networking Technologies: DNS, DHCP, VPN, Network Security, IP Routing Protocols
  • Cisco Networking Technologies: Routing & Switching, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
  • Cisco Wireless
  • MERAKI Wireless
  • Palo Alto Firewalls

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in Cisco Networking Technologies
  • Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Practical technical knowledge on CISCO Networking Technologies
  • ITIL certification preferred
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats, tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment
  • High-level technology problem-solving skills
