Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive financial professional to support accounting and financial operations across a growing portfolio of multifamily real estate assets. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Record and categorize transactions across multiple entities using Yardi software.
  • Maintain general ledgers and prepare account reconciliations for accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage bank activity: initiate, track, and confirm intercompany and external transfers and wires for efficient cash flow management.
  • Process payments and disbursements in a timely manner to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card activity and ensure accurate expense tracking for transparent financial reporting.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable activity across properties and entities to optimize working capital.
  • Assist with entity-level financial statement preparation and monthly close procedures to provide stakeholders with reliable financial information.
  • Support other members of the accounting team with cross-functional initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries with timely and accurate financial data to maintain stakeholder confidence.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by senior management to drive business improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as accounting or finance (preferred).
  • Prior experience in real estate or corporate multi-entity environments is highly valued.
  • Experience with Yardi software is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities is required for success in this role.
