Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer is a highly skilled professional responsible for the operational support of the global network environment.

This role involves providing proactive and reactive support for all network hardware, software, and communication links. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager of Engineering and Implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to project managers based on requirements to integrate a network setup.
  • Developing solutions to complex problems with well-planned documentation.
  • Completing preventative maintenance activities such as code updates and equipment upgrades.
  • Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Maintaining security and audit compliance.
  • Performing operational-related moves, adds, changes, and deletes (MACD).
  • Ensuring adherence to operational standards.
  • Complying with engineering design standards and established operational processes.
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of operational documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, VPN, network security, and IP routing protocols.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Practical technical knowledge of Cisco networking technologies.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment.
  • High-level technology problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
