We are a leading accounting firm providing financial services across diverse industries.

The role of the Accounting Manager (AM) is that of an expert who oversees financial accounting and transaction processing, serving as ambassadors of our company's values and US GAAP accounting standards.

This position requires a high level of expertise, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Advanced Excel skills, and a strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

  • Financial Operations & Compliance
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring adherence to the timeline and checklist.
  • Review final profit & loss (P&L) scrub and approve journal entries prepared by staff.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the balance sheet workbook, including spot-checking source document filing.
  • Review and update financial notes, charts, graphs, and footnotes to ensure alignment with KPIs and executive summaries.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports through variance analysis.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts for real estate projects, including capital expenditures and operating costs.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support cost-saving initiatives and revenue growth.
  • Update and maintain cash flow forecasts regularly.
  • Tax Compliance
  • Prepare and submit sales tax returns with controller approval.
  • Coordinate, review, and submit annual 1099s.
  • Support the preparation and submission of personal property tax filings, reviewed by the controller.
  • Calculate monthly sales tax payments and submit them for controller review and remittance.
  • Accounting Operations
  • Manage recurring weekly accounting processes as outlined by the controller.
  • Review customer invoicing, vendor bills, and process payments.
  • Approve and submit payroll.
  • Perform chart of accounts reviews and reclassify contributions/distributions to retained earnings as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering development in real estate accounting practices.

Responsibilities also include Process Improvement & Client Advisory, Tools, Communication & Task Management.
