Freelance Financial Operations Specialist

As a freelance accounting and finance operations specialist, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:- QuickBooks Online Setup: Improve the setup and configuration of QuickBooks Online for our Canadian entity, including the chart of accounts, bank feeds, and automation rules.
- Accounting Automation: Manage and automate accounting and financial tasks such as reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and reporting.
- Financial Tool Migration: Migrate existing financial tools from Excel/Google Sheets into our new automated reporting app for two entities, including cash flow reports and balance sheets.
You will collaborate with our Canadian accountant to ensure compliance while focusing on efficiency and streamlined operations. This is a flexible, remote freelance role that offers an opportunity to shape our finance operations from the ground up.
Required Qualifications:- Solid accounting and bookkeeping skills.
- Digitally savvy with the ability to streamline processes and leverage automation tools.
- Excellent Excel and/or Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, dashboards).
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive about process improvements.
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment: resourceful, flexible, and solution-oriented.
- This role offers exposure to the fast-growing recruitment industry.
