Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform various administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence.
- Assist healthcare professionals with administrative duties and documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and retrieval of electronic medical records.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide support for appointment scheduling and follow-ups.
- Maintain confidentiality and securely handle all patient information.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in an administrative role within a healthcare setting is required.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and healthcare management software is necessary.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly are crucial.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with billing and coding in a healthcare setting is beneficial.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is desirable.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
