Healthcare Scheduling Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our healthcare team as a scheduling specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations for medications, diagnostic tests, and procedures.
  • Scheduling: Accurately schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and procedures in coordination with the healthcare team.
  • Patient Communication: Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize delays.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and insurance portals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and/or medical scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance processes, benefits verification, and prior authorization workflows.
  • Excellent spoken English with a neutral or clear accent (critical for patient communication).
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and patient-first attitude.
