Job Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and submission of AU and UK tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly management reports, statutory reports, and vendor-facing financial summaries.
  • Prepare and submit AU and UK tax obligations with high attention to detail.
  • Liaise with vendors, auditors, and tax authorities to meet compliance and reporting deadlines.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and templates.
  • Collaborate with the finance team for month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and automating financial models and dashboards.
  • Stay up-to-date on taxation changes, statutory requirements, and accounting standards in AU and the UK.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and tax compliance, particularly in AU and UK contexts.
  • Hands-on experience using Xero and strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Comfortable working with SQL for data extraction and analysis.
