Job Overview

A key member of the procurement team responsible for assessing material and component requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and validate material and component requirements from operations and MRP need dates.
  • Source and purchase direct materials, customer-furnished equipment, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Process price variances based on procedures when needed.
  • Track and confirm material and component delivery dates from suppliers ahead of promised dates to support schedule-go and PRW process among others.
  • Expedite, align, and negotiate material and component delivery dates to support operational needs.
  • Communicate potential risks at the earliest possible time and recommend mitigating activities to support alignment to material need date.
  • Manage assigned suppliers, commodities, perform sourcing, and process work transfers when needed.
  • Lead improvements to processes, perform root cause analysis, and corrective actions through core tools.
  • Lead discussions with seating sites and process changes needed to related supply chain procedures while being the first line of communications with suppliers. Performs orderbook management that consolidates other seating site requirements.
  • Represents supply chain in WAR, Schedule-Go, PRW, and other relevant collaborative alignment meetings with other functions to support operational build schedules and product quality.
  • Consolidate and report out supply chain KPIs.
Requirements

Candidates must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and think critically. Strong organizational skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
