
Patient Healthcare Liaison

A Patient Services Representative is responsible for addressing patient queries and concerns, understanding patient needs by listening and interviewing, and coordinating information among patients, family members, medical personnel, and administrative staff.
This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, and ability to work with confidential information.
Responsibilities- Answer incoming calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
- Assist patients in their queries and concerns.
- Collect patients' outstanding balances.
- Assist third-party entities, e.g., insurance, with questions regarding patients' accounts.
- Place outbound collection calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
- Assist patients in their billing queries and concerns.
- Ensure HIPAA guidelines are respected by safeguarding protected health information in the scope of the position's duties and responsibilities.
- Be a team player and supportive of department and company goals and policies.
- Preferably College Graduate or at least 2 years in college. Degrees and courses related to medical field are a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Detail oriented.
- Proficient in the use of email.
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- Organized, able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Dependable and reliable.
- Team player, supportive of department and company goals and policies.
