Retail Financial Operations Specialist

A skilled financial professional is required to support our retail operations by maintaining accurate financial records and streamlining transaction processing. In this role, you will utilize QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other financial tools to optimize daily financial transactions, process accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment. Experience in retail bookkeeping is preferred, and a proven track record of operational excellence and innovation is essential.
Main Responsibilities- Record and categorize daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online accurately.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain an organized general ledger.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly, identifying discrepancies.
- Provide retail accounting support, including inventory tracking and cost-of-goods-sold allocations.
- Utilize Bill.com to process vendor payments efficiently.
- Assist with reporting and financial analysis tasks, including generating financial statements and identifying trends.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support forecasting and budgeting efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a retail or e-commerce setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and experience using Bill.com is required.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
