Financial Operations Specialist

This role is focused on delivering top-notch financial support to a dynamic team of professionals. As a skilled Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, streamlining transaction processing, and supporting key automation initiatives using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other financial tools.
The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced environment. Experience in retail bookkeeping is highly preferred, as well as proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and experience using Bill.com.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including recording and categorizing financial transactions, processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank and credit card accounts.
- Provide accounting support to the retail business, including inventory tracking, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) allocations, and POS system integration.
- Assist with payroll administration, vendor payments, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline workflows, automate processes, and implement improvements to bookkeeping operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a retail or e-commerce setting.
- Experience working in or with the jewelry industry is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
