Retail Operations Director

A key role in driving our retail expansion, this position oversees the entire order to cash cycle, ensuring seamless execution from receipt of orders through delivery and payment collection. The ideal candidate has a strong background in order operations, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities
  • Led the team responsible for day-to-day management of the order to cash cycle.

  • Provided customer support for pre-order activities, including setup, writing SOPs, and ensuring orders are ready to process.

  • Built sustainable processes and systems from scratch, focusing on efficiency and scalability as we onboard new commercial customers and expand our Customer Operations team.

  • Maintained strong data integrity in all order operations systems associated with order entry, order fulfillment, order management, and order invoicing.

  • Led month's end reconciliation from the Order Operations perspective and provided fully vetted reporting to Accounting showing accurate orders for the previous month.

  • Created workflows using connectors like Zapier, Make, N8N, Parabola, etc. to reduce manual work and improve productivity.

Requirements
  • Fully remote work environment under minimal supervision.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a customer-facing role.

  • Elite organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to details.

  • Extremely process-oriented with the ability to identify and define issues, create scalable processes, and implement those processes with team members.

  • Order Processing experience - including EDI, B2B, and manual orders. Strong ERP system experience.

  • Experience managing direct reports.

  • 2+ years experience working in US food & beverage order operations with distributors such as UNFI & Kehe and with retailers like Target.
