Key Responsibilities
  • Manage loan documentation, ensure data accuracy, and coordinate with key stakeholders to facilitate smooth loan processing.
  • Ensure compliance, meet deadlines, and help clients achieve their financial objectives.
  • Collect, verify, and organize borrower documentation (income statements, credit reports, bank statements, etc.).
  • Prepare and review loan applications for completeness before submission.
  • Input and maintain accurate data in the loan origination system (LOS) and CRM.
  • Coordinate and follow up with appraisers, title companies, and insurance providers.
  • Track loan file progress and ensure compliance requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Draft and send communications to clients, partners, and internal teams on behalf of the Loan Officer.
  • Assist with pipeline management, reporting, file status checks, and escalation of urgent issues.

As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the success of our client's team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-3 years of experience in mortgage brokerage or financial services (loan processing or origination support is a plus).
  • Familiarity with loan origination systems (Encompass, Calyx, or similar) is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple files, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
