Role Overview

Mortgage Specialist

This role involves managing the end-to-end processing of mortgage applications, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of loan packages for submission to lenders. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the application process.

About the Position

You will be responsible for conducting retention pricing of existing client books, preparing servicing calculators for brokers, sending welcome emails and initial data requests to new clients, and entering data for new clients and updating existing client records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retention pricing of existing client books
  • Preparing servicing calculators for brokers
  • Sending welcome emails and initial data requests to new clients
  • Entering data for new clients and updating existing client records
  • Requesting, indexing, and organizing supporting documents, identifying missing items
  • Requesting pricing discounts from lenders and ordering valuations
  • Organizing property reports and preparing broker tools like Quickli, strategy sheets, and loan options mud maps
  • Drafting lender application notes and supporting brokers with lender option prep
  • Calling lenders for updates and assisting with post-settlement loan account summaries
  • Preparing detailed post-settlement breakdowns for clients
  • Assisting in preparing and managing discharge forms for settlements
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Australian mortgage loan processing
  • Familiarity with pricing and valuation processes
  • Exposure to CRM platforms such as Mercury, FLEX, SalesTrekker, or Symmetry
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Resourceful, commercially minded, and eager to learn
  • Bachelor's or College Degree (any field)
  • A team player who learns quickly, communicates clearly, and follows through
  • Exercises sound judgment and takes ownership of tasks
