Senior Mortgage Finance Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mortgage Finance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for evaluating and approving mortgage loan applications, assisting clients in selecting the right loan products, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.

Your expert knowledge of mortgage products and regulations will be essential in minimizing risk and ensuring compliance while meeting the diverse needs of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the staff responsible for processing mortgage applications.
  • Verify the accuracy of information provided on applications, requesting additional information if necessary.
  • Communicate with clients to help them choose the best mortgage loan product that suits their needs.
  • Collect relevant data from clients, including their assets, income, debts, and employment status.
  • Review file documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify applicant history with credit bureaus and other agencies to ensure lender approval or denial.
  • Maintain awareness of loan application deadlines and inform clients accordingly.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of mortgage products and regulations. A degree in finance or a related field is required, along with several years of experience in mortgage finance.
